PEST CONTROL METHOD AND APPARATUS
A pheromone dispenser fired from a gun at tree branches.

A releaser containing pheromone sits adjacent to a capsule, joined by a coiled wire extension. The operator launches the assembly toward a tree, by hand or with a gun-type projecting apparatus fitted with a magazine of additional units. In flight, the releaser separates from the capsule while remaining tethered by the extension. Inertia carries the releaser away from the capsule so that the extension wraps around a branch, leaving the device attached to the tree.
“An apparatus to project toward a tree to disburse a pheromone, comprising: a releaser removably adjacent to a capsule via an extension; whereby said releaser and said capsule are disposed adjacent to each other in a deployable state, then the releaser separates from the capsule but is still connected via said extension whereby inertia causes said releaser to move away from said capsule into an attachment state.”— Brett E.
