ANIMAL TRAP
A trap that mounts on a tree, above the snow.
The trap is rested upright against a tree or post, and a chain connecting the two spring wires is wrapped around the opposite side of the trunk to hold it in place. The movable jaw is pivoted upward and rested on the catching portion of a bait-carrying detent lever. When an animal touches the bait to pull it, the detent lever pivots and frees the movable jaw. The spring wires then pivot the movable jaw closed against the neck of the animal.
