ANIMAL TRAP
A tree-mounted trap with a ramp leading up from the ground.
A spring-loaded snap trap is chained vertically to a tree trunk, tightened by a lever fastener. An inclined runway extends from the ground to the trap, guiding the animal upward to the bait. Angled wing members encircle the trunk to prevent the animal from climbing past and steer it toward the trap. When the animal tugs the bait hook, the trigger releases and the spring frame closes against the base.
